About Artist Lou Simeone

My art is influenced by a cocktail of Seussville poetry, Peanuts characters and 70s cartoons, spiked with the art of Dali, Derek Riggs, Rick Griffin, Al Jaffee, and Kenny Scharf. I spend most of my time scratching lines on paper, laying colors down on canvas and manipulating vector points in the computer, all of which open the doors to the mischievous characters and unbalanced world floating around inside my cracked cranium.

As a kid I spent many hours tucked away in quiet places copying Disney, Peanuts and Looney Tunes characters, creating my own comic strips and reading Mad Magazine and Al Jaffee books.

Armed with a degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in design, and my love for art, I set out on a long career that so far has taken me through many journeys, from staff designer to art director to managing a design studio, to freelance designer and illustrator.
